We are here to help
With over 35 years’ experience in publishing, marketing and business management, Connie Lineberry is a business consultant with specialized knowledge in the home furnishings and gift industries.
Connie started her career in marketing, promotions and sales training in the daily newspaper industry; working with Knight Ridder, Landmark and Guy Gannett newspaper groups. In 1981 she joined Communications Today, the original parent company of Furniture Today, the leading publication of the furniture industry. She launched the publication’s Marketing Services Department, which created hundreds of marketing and advertising campaigns, including companies like Ashley, Lane, Uttermost and many others.
Connie has worked closely with companies in the furniture, home accent, casual/outdoor, home textile and gift industries to grow their business through strategic planning, comprehensive, integrated marketing plans incorporating print, on-line, direct mail and telemarketing outreach and proprietary research.
As a consultant, Connie has taken her forward thinking solutions based approach and used it to develop others’ business. Whether your team needs help creating a comprehensive strategy, navigating new markets, public relations, or outlining an efficient company structure, she is here to help.

Speaker
I have known Connie Lineberry for the last 25 years and consider her to be the foremost marketing and advertising intellectual in the gift, home and furnishings industry. Although Connie has never operated her own import or manufacturing business, she has worked with more vendors than any other person I know of specifically in the area of helping them market their companies through the most efficient and cost effective means. She did not just “sell advertising” in her previous career, she worked with customers on a very “deep dive” basis, meeting with their staff to understand the business at every level so that she can execute a marketing plan that truly expresses the company culture and the value proposition they bring to a retailer as a vendor. Connie always enhances a company’s ability to be successful with what she brings to the table. Always.

Brian Berk | President, Howard Elliott
I remember Connie presenting us for the first time with the ad mock-up featuring the splendid photo of Michael with her suggestion of the new Michael Amini signature style, which we immediately adopted. Another powerful presentation to us was Mia Bella by Michael Amini and then later the layout concept of our debut of Studio by Michael Amini. We were always wise enough to know that behind all of the BIG IDEAS was Connie’s creative touch.
Martin Ploy | President, AICO
Connie has a vast knowledge of all aspects of the furniture business. She also has access to, and the respect of, the most important leaders in the industry. She is a careful listener and brings decisive insight into a business which has become complex and ever evolving. The home business is unique in many ways. Connie understands this and brings value that a generalist consultant simply cannot. She works well in a team and provides measurable results.
